Dr. Joshua Stern joined South Florida Gastroenterology Associates in 2009. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Dr. Stern received his medical education at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Stern completed his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. During his training, Dr. Stern also received a Masters of Science in Clinical Epidemiology (MSCE) from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Stern has been involved in numerous research projects in gastroenterology and has multiple scientific publications.
Dr. Stern is an active member of the medical staff of Bethesda Memorial Hospital and Delray Medical Center. Dr. Stern performs all routine gastroenterology procedures, including colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) tube placement, enteroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and wireless capsule endoscopy. Dr. Stern treats all diseases related to the digestive tract including Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Celiac Disease, Pancreatic Diseases, Hepatitis, and Liver Diseases. Dr. Stern also offers in-office non-surgical procedures for treatment of hemorrhoids.
Dr. Stern is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterology Association, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the Florida Medical Association.
